You saw something in the painting that I didn't until a second viewing after the recap was done and I agree with your assessment. I think the reason Topher didn't erase the love between Sierra and Victor is because he had that moral dilemma and it opened his eyes and heart a little bit. I don't know how- perhaps I was traumatized by the whole Topher hacking up a body, but I completely missed all the Echo stuff except at the very end. I definitely see a rewatch in my future tonight. You did a great job pointing out all the symbolism...all I caught was Sierra standing in front of that large abstract artwork (with the lighting such that all you can see is her dark form),the painting looking like what I would imagine the thoughts of a schizophrenic in the midst of a psychotic break to be.
