Now that Emily Owens M.D. has made it through her first day at Denver Memorial, things should start getting a little easier. After getting past the typical jitters that come with a new experience and figuring out what she’ll be dealing with in the next part of her life, it’s about adapting and learning how to keep in the good graces of the hospital staff from here on out.
And there’s the matter of Cassandra Kopelson. On the next episode of Emily Owens M.D., titled “Emily and…The Alan Zolman Incident,” the two enemies are now standing face-to-face, daring the other to flinch. Even though Emily got some much-needed insight into Cassandra’s life and the source of her animosity for her last week, the two didn’t exactly patch things up. There may be many things that Emily has to get used to, but having her high school bully ending up in the same program as her and still carrying a grudge may be number one on the list.
Meanwhile on Emily Owens M.D., Emily has to deal with knowing about Tyra’s father kissing the nurse, though she doesn’t quite know how to tell her new friend about her father’s infidelity. Emily needs to be careful with this information; not only is Tyra arguably her only connection at the hospital now that things are awkward with Will, Dupre’s father is the hospital Chief of Staff and could make her professional life hell before it begins. Emily will have to decide what’s more important to her – her friendship with Tyra or her professional reputation.
