A lot of times you might give a woman the benefit of the doubt when talking about a breakup and her alleged reaction. In the case of the restraining order that was filed against American Horror Story actor Rose Salazar however it’s kind of hard to do that without really taking into account a couple of things. Sam Setzer, her ex-boyfriend, filed for the restraining order when Rosa showed up to his home one night and proceeded to ring the doorbell, pound on his door, and shout loudly enough that the neighbors could hear. He firmly believes that she was intoxicated while doing this, and that could very well be.
However she did threaten to tell people that he’d been abusing her if she didn’t get her way, at which point Sam thankfully did the smart thing and called the cops. Now what’s suspect is that Rosa didn’t hang around to tell her side of the story, as some women might have, but bolted instead. People that have a serious bone to pick with someone and a valid case seem more likely to sit around and wait for the cops to get there than to just get up and go when someone makes the announcement that they’re calling the police to their home. So no matter what’s going on in Rosa’s head, and it seems like it might have been suspect at the time, she wasn’t exactly ready to proclaim her innocence it seems. The only thing worse is that Sam said they were only going out for a month before they called it quits, which could have been part of the reason why Rosa decided to go a little cuckoo on him. It’s not a valid excuse keep in mind, but as a reason it could work.
If you don’t remember Rosa from AHS all that well then keep in mind that she was one of the nurses that committed the murders in season 1, so it’s easy to think that you might have forgotten her role at this point. But far from being done in her career she’ll be showing up in the film Alita this coming December. As for her relationship with Setzer, of which there is none, Rosa will have to stay 100 yards from him at all time, which for Sam likely won’t be a problem since he wants nothing to do with her. For Rosa it’s still to be seen since no other word has been given on just how she feels about the whole thing. That’s the second mistake really that she’s made, as her reps haven’t bothered to give a statement or even announce that she’d like to tell her side of the story. Right now however her side might not allow her to come off looking too good, so it could be best that she remain quiet just for this moment. If she has something to say it’s her right, but keeping quiet about something that might put a negative spin on things right now would not be the best option.
Sometimes it’s hard not to doubt people, especially when they can’t seem to come up with a good explanation for their behavior.
