Five Things You Didn’t Know about Alex Roe

Alex Roe is an English actor who has been appearing in both movies and TV shows since he was a child. However, he tends to be best-known for a couple of series filmed when he was a teenager, though he remains active as an actor at the present time. One of his recent projects is Forever My Girl, which has just come out, while another recent project is Siren, which is expected to come out in the not so distant future.

Here are five things that you may or may not have known about Alex Rose:

Born In Westminister

Roe was born in Westminister, which is a part of London that happens to be famous for its historical landmarks. Examples range from Buckingham Palace to Westminister Abbey, so it should come as no surprise to learn that it is a popular place for tourists. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the name Westminister started out as a reference to Westminister Abbey in the sense that said institution could be found to the west of the City of London.

Loves Sports

It is interesting to note that Roe is a huge fan of sports. For proof, look no further than the fact that he was a member of a recreational football team in West London in 2010, which was at around the time that he was working as an actor as well. Of course, England being England, it should be noted that this was association football, which should be better-known to most people in the United States and Canada as soccer.

Debuted in The Calling

Roe had his acting debut with a horror movie called The Calling that was released in 2000, meaning that he would have been around 10 at the time. Said movie was similar to Rosemary’s Baby and The Omen in the sense that it belonged to the genre of horror movies about the birth of the Antichrist. As a result, it should come as no surprise to learn that Roe was playing the role of the Antichrist in The Calling, though it is interesting to mention that the movie actually centered around the mother of his character as the main character of the movie as a whole.

Best-Known For The Fugitives and The Cut

With that said, Roe tends to be much better-known because of his roles in two series called The Fugitives and The Cut. The first was a sci-fi series for children that ran for a single season, which saw Roe playing the lead role of Jay Keaton. Meanwhile, the second was a drama for teenagers, which saw Roe playing the part of a competitive swimmer named Elliott Baden who appeared in the second and third seasons.

Main Cast Member of Siren

Currently, Roe is set to star in a series called Siren, which will be starting up on Freeform at the end of March in 2018. Like its name suggests, Siren will be centered around the mythological creature of the same name, though it remains to be seen how the series’s interpretation will stand out. Regardless, the marketing blurb for the series suggests that it will be explosive in nature, considering that it states that there will be some sort of conflict for control of the ocean breaking out within the series upon the revelation of such beings.
