Five Things You Didn’t Know About Chris Cuomo

Chris Cuomo is the popular co-anchor of the news show “New Day.” He appears daily on weekdays at 6 a.m. with his partners Michaela Pereira and Kate Bolduan in the show that has become a staple for many viewers. He’s made a name for himself and has a real flair for delivering the news in a style that is appreciated for its honesty and openness. Fans who want to know more about him will appreciate our offering of five things that you didn’t know about him.

1. He totaled his 1969 Firebird convertible in a controversial incident

When the story broke last year, there were a few different versions of it as reported by friends who were there. Cuomo was just leaving a party thrown by his wife and he had been drinking. He allegedly entered an illegal drag race over the Memorial Day weekend and lost control of the vehicle during the event. He hit a nearby Mercedes which was parked, and incidentally belonged to one of his friends. A friend was quick to respond to the allegations and say that he was only playing around and that he wasn’t really in a drag race. He accidentally hit the Mercedes and damaged his grille and radiator.

2. He can’t grow facial or chest hair

Cuomo is proud of the fact that he is a second generation American. His grandparents immigrated to this country from Italy. Even though he is one hundred percent Italian in ancestry, he totally lacks chest hair. He isn’t able to grow a beard either. This must save him a ton of money on waxing and razors.

3. He is emotional

Chris shared in an interview that he is a really sensitive guy. This is especially true when it comes to his family or if there is an injustice going on. He admitted that he has cried tears and done it often. It happens when there is either rampant frustration with his children, or sometimes, when he is overcome with the joy of realizing how fortunate he really is in his life. Chris can also be moved by a film that is especially powerful. He realizes that he has an amazing family. He is a humble guy that brags about his wife being better on television than he is himself. No wonder fans love him so much.

4. Chris Cuomo is really humble

In addition to placing his wife’s viewability over his own, he also maintains a humility about himself. He disclosed that he was the sole member of his family who didn’t have big aspirations. There was nothing in particular that he wanted to be when he grew up. He acknowledged that “some say I succeeded.” If you’re reading this Chris, there are a lot of people who would strongly disagree with that statement.

5. He was an accident in hand-me-downs

Chris disclosed that there is a sixteen year gap between he and his oldest sibling. He said that he was a “mistake.” Here is even more proof of his humility, or perhaps his comfort with himself… he shared that he used to wear hand-me-downs from his older sister until the time that he reached middle school age. He also said that because he wore those ‘baby blue Levi cords’ he had to get tough and learn how to fight.
