The newest bunch of actors is starting to mature at this point and really start to shine in the limelight as they begin to show what they’re really worth. Born in the early 1990’s, Olivia Cooke was one of the many that was growing up through the 2000’s and has since come to find that the acting game has changed a great deal since the decade in which she was born. So far she’s proven that she belongs in the spotlight and is more than capable of making her way forward, but like so many of her generation she will have a lot more to accomplish to prove that she can attain legendary status. She’s well on her way though.

5. She comes from a family of non-actors.
Many actors can make this claim since a good number of them had to work their way into the business and make a name that people would remember for years to come. But it’s not easy to do so when you know no one and have no known contacts in the industry that you so badly want to be a part of. Sometimes the biggest success stories though come from seemingly nowhere.
4. She started acting when she was 8.
I’ve noticed that throughout different generations, especially the most recent, that child actors have been very prevalent at all levels. Cooke is not the first to start off on what would eventually become a career at a very young age, but the trend seems to be increasing as the years go on. It might not be a problem except that it puts a lot of pressure on younger kids.
3. She got her first agent when she was 14.
This could have been a help or a hindrance depending on attentive the agent was to her needs. Thus far it seems like everything has gone just fine and Cooke has been guided to a very good spot in her life. Agents are meant to be there to help out when needed but unfortunately some of them tend to look after their needs first and their client’s second.
2. She stays away from Twitter.
Twitter is basically the next thing after simple gossip. It’s the same thing actually in many regards since it allows a person to say exactly what they’re thinking even if it should be kept on the down low and as quiet as possible. Cooke admits that she doesn’t use Twitter largely because her first thoughts are usually not the kind of thing she wants to broadcast to the world.
1. Her agent didn’t want her enrolling in drama school.
In one respect it might be a bit pointless to go back to school when you’re already getting paying jobs. It’d be like going back to basic training if you’re already a high-ranking officer in the military. But it could also do some good if her act needed a little sprucing up now and again. There’s no harm in gaining or refining an edge in what you do.
Olivia Cooke seems to be doing just fine in her career.
