Sylvester Stallone Goes Through His Old Movie Costumes and Props

Watching Sylvester Stallone go through his old movie costumes and props you can imagine the memories that are going through his head. The number of props and costumes he must have gone through is just insane to think about since the man has been in so many different movies, good and bad. Calling the Demolition Man a movie ahead of its time might be accurate but in terms of action and acting it wasn’t really that great when you go back and look at it. But it was one of the more action-packed movies that he was a part of that did something at least.

The other films he’s been in, Rambo, Rocky, and many, many others have been both inspirational and entertaining throughout the years and to think that all of these props and costumes are being kept somewhere is simply amazing. How many millions of dollars are just sitting there in that storage facility is mind-boggling. Even more so is the fact that people will pay those kind of prices to own this kind of stuff. The memorabilia from movies tends to go for mass amounts that a lot of people can’t even think about let alone imagine spending on one item. Can you even think of how much his original Rocky shorts must go for, or those that he wore in part IV? A lot of this stuff is the kind of memorabilia you might see at auctions in which the money raised will be going to one charity or another. Otherwise the stuff would likely be left alone to collect dust and be forgotten by the fans as time goes on.

Really, there are a lot of fans that remember Stallone’s movies still, but the current generation, much in the same way of those that came before, are starting to pick out their favorite stars and Stallone is no longer as high on the list as he used to be. The days of Rocky and Rambo are just about over, and the days of the Expendables are about to head the same way, so Stallone, action star that he is, should no doubt be looking for some way to survive in the industry when it comes to the future. He’s already had an amazing career, but as of now it seems to be headed into the golden years because of age and because he’s just barely considered to be the kind of action star that the current generation wants to see.

To those of us that grew up watching him kick butt onscreen he’s always going to be one of the best actors out there and one of the greatest action stars. But looking at this clip kind of brings it home that his glory days are behind him and at this point he’s still a great actor to see onscreen, but he’s become an old man that can bang with the new talent, not the action star that was heading up some of the best movies ever made. It happens to everyone eventually.
