For the first time since 2008, the short-lived cult show Firefly will be on TV again. Entertainment Weekly has just reported that The Science Channel has acquired the rights to the scifi favorite and will air the entire series, along with an extra segment at the end of each episode. Renowned physicist Dr. Michio Kaku wll be discussing the science aspect behind the show's sci fi concepts.
Firefly's former leading man, Nathan Fillion (now on Castle), took some time to answer a few questions in honor of this occasion, in an exclusive interview with EW. He touches on how Firefly was the best job he ever had and that if he ever won the lottery, he would "buy the rights to the show, make it his own and distribute it on the internet".
Firefly is scheduled to premiere (again) on The Science Channel on March 6 at 8 p.m., with a three-hour special (the two-hour pilot and the following episode). After that, Firefly episodes will air every Sunday - in their original intended order - and in high definition.
