ABC have plans to start marketing for a new show 'Flash Forward' they are planning to schedule, before it has even been officially ordered or announced by the network.
During next weeks 100th episode of Lost, it is reported that ABC will air a promo campaign. Not unlike Lost in the past, it is rumored that the promos may even direct viewers to a website which will give further hints about the nature of the show.
The show will be based on Robert J. Sawyer's sci-fi novel, Flash Forward, and will star the well-known film actor Joseph Fiennes who has starred in many classics such as 'Shakespeare in Love', 'The Merchant of Venice' and 'The Escapist'.
This is a big step for a network to start advertising a show for a future season, which hasn't yet been officially picked up. Keeping this in mind, I have to say I am starting to get the feeling something good might be in store for us, could this be the thing to fill the void for Lost fans and avid theorists, when Lost reaches the end after season 6?
Filmmaker David S. Goyer and Star Treks Brannon Braga originally approached ABC with the idea for the series, many thought it a good show to air alongside Lost, though it is now thought that it may be aired in early Fall season, due to the timing of the promos.
The general plot of the show involves everyone in the world blacking out for 2 minutes and 17 seconds after a global event, and their strange vision of the future.
