Ben and Kate: Fox Pulls New Comedy From Schedule

ben and kateFox has decided to pull the freshman comedy series Ben and Kate from its primetime line-up.  Even when including seven days of DVR playback, Ben and Kate averages only 3.1 million viewers and a 1.5 rating this season, which isn’t stellar. 

Beginning on January 29, back-to-back episodes of Raising Hope will air from 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. through February. Raising Hope‘s one-hour season finale will air Thursday, March 28 following American Idol.   On Tuesday, March 3, Season 11 of Hell’s Kitchen will take over the 8-9 pm perch, leading into New Girl and The Mindy Project.

Fox has said that the remaining episodes of Ben and Kate will return at a later time.  Here’s what Fox’s new Tuesday night schedule will look like:
