NBC has picked up a lot of new comedies for their 2011-2012 season (view the schedule here). One of them is entitled Free Agents, starring Hank Azria and Kathryn Hahn.
Azria stars as Alex, a newly divorced man who can barely keep himself together. Hahn plays his co-worker Helen, who is secretly falling apart - although she thinks she has all the answers. After a drunken night out, Alex and Helen stumble into bed together. But the next morning, Helen just wants them to be friends. Alex's co-workers are Dan (Mo Mandel, Love Bites, Modern Family) and Gregg (Al Madrigal, Wizards of Waverly Place, Gary, Unmarried), and Stephen (Anthony Head, Merlin, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), who keep trying to set Alex up.
While Alex is hesitant to get back into the dating scene, he does agree to a date, which makes Helen jealous, so the two of them fall back into bed and seemed doomed to repeat this casual "relationship" cycle.
Below are three sneak peeks and a trailer from the Free Agents pilot. Other co-stars include Joe Lo Truglio (Backwash, Mad Love) and Natasha Leggero (Ugly Americans, 'Til Death).
Free Agents will be premiering in the fall and will air on Wednesday nights at 8:30 p.m. ET.

I think that Free Agents should have Charlie Sheen be Alex instead of Hank Azaria. It would be even funnier that way. Also, it would be more believable to the audience. Hank Azaria would be better as one of the co-workers. It is not too late to make these changes before fall.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be a very long time before Charlie Sheen works in television again (if ever), so I think the likelihood of this happening is nil.
