New Fringe Promo Features Scene from Season 4

For several weeks, the "Where Is Peter Bishop?" promotional adds have been teasing Fringe fans. We're a month away from the upcoming fourth season of the series, and finally the ads are starting to give us a little bit of a glimpse of what's to come.

We've had previous promos give us glimpses at the season, including a new quote from Walter (John Noble) and a quick shot of Olivia. But the new promo, released on Monday, gives us an in-depth look at just how Olivia (Anna Torv) is coping with the absence of Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson), who was apparently erased from existence at the end of the season three finale.

"We all get really good at pretending that the loneliness isn't there," Olivia tells someone (we can't tell who, but it looks like Lincoln Lee) in the promo. "And then something comes along to remind us. I know what it's like to have a hole in my life. It's been there as long as I can remember." Check out the promo below:

While I've now got The Police's "Hole in My Life" stuck in my head, I have to say that the dialogue is the perfect teaser. Peter's absence isn't noticed, but it's being felt. Ari Margolis, who crafts these brilliant promos, has done another excellent job.

Fringe premieres Friday, September 23 on FOX, with the episode "Neither Here Nor There."

I see an Olivia self assured and strong, somewhat like the Olivia from the pilot mixed with the Olivia of 2026. Not the Olivia from the seond part of season 3, who had to run after Peter and from episode 3.11 was reduced to dependent on peter's choice and later crowbar, instead of the gatekeeper, the chosen one and the hero two safe both universes she was.

Anna Torv shows a new Olivia in these few seconds, brilliant acting.

I hope the hole and loneliness wil be something deeper, not Peter again.

Ever since episode 3.11 Olivia was pushed aside again as the hero, and since the finale it is all about peter and if yes or no and when or where mr. jackson will be on Comic con, or on set or whatever. All over the top for me, and not very deserving, since he was so negative about season 3. To much reward.

Compare that to Anna Torv who had to suffer almost two seasons because of lacklustre writing for Olivia, from a very unfair treatment in the media, noted by Jeff Pinkner who found it hard to watch but still did not do anything about that, Anna had to be and was a professional, until midway season 2 and finally season 3. Finally Anna got the material, and got the chance to show her worldclass acting.

Sorry, I have a problem with the peter overdose, he will probably turn out to be a god, it is to much.

Seriously though, since when does Olivia talk like that to anyone?
