FOX has just released the promo for the season 3 finale of Fringe. And it wasn't just any promo. No, this time they went all out and produced an actual movie trailer for the last episode of the season entitled "The Day We Died".
I have been a Fringe fan since day one, but even as a hardcore fan, I know things haven't always been great in the fan favorite show. That said, I can honestly say without a shadow of doubt that Fringe is one of the few shows this year that have had a perfect season. With only one episode to go, they have delivered impeccable episodes with out of this world writing, acting, direction and production.
It's a real shame that the traditional awards (Emmy, Golden Globes) hardly ever recognize science fiction shows for their suberb work and Fringe is a prime example of that. I am still hopeful that maybe this year things will change because, as much as the entire cast has been amazing, Anna Torv has really outdone herself playing three different versions of the same character. So here is hoping she will finally get the recognition that she deserves for her fantastic work this season.
Now this last stretch of season 3 has been one continuous storyline that started when the machine was activated by Walternate on the Other Side, which in turn started to cause massive destruction in our universe. Last week, we found out that while Peter can activate the machine, Olivia is his exact opposite and can turn it off. That's how they deactivated it in order for Peter to get inside and activate it himself. That catapulted him to the future where things are not going so great as people are calling it "the end of days".
The promo released for the finale explores exactly what that future is all about. Major spoiler alert. Don't say I didn't warn you.
JUST EPIC……..!
Wait… It might just be me, but it looks like Fringe might have made a permanent jump to the future. I don't know…
