Fringe fans, you are in for quite a treat. Tonight's new episode ("Brown Betty") features musical performances by the main characters. Before you roll your eyes or fear shark jumping, allow me to reassure you that the music in this episode is organic to the story.
While on the set of Fringe recently in Vancouver, I had the opportunity to ask the delightful Jasika Nicole about "Brown Betty" (which she refers to as "Overture," an earlier working title). I had interviewed Jasika on a few occasions prior to this, which is why you might notice a very casual and friendly rapport. Minor spoiler alert: in this video interview, we also discusses the season finale and alternate Astrid (a.k.a. Altrid).
The official FOX description of "Brown Betty" is as follows: while Walter (John Noble) deals with some upsetting news, he tells Olivia’s niece, Ella (guest star Lily Pilblad), a fairy tale that includes musical performances by Olivia (Anna Torv) and Agent Broyles (Lance Reddick).
"Brown Betty” airs tonight at 9pm ET on FOX.
Loving it!
I know Glee's a big hit and all, but really? Fringe, the musical? I wasn't feeling it.Fringe is def one of my top fav shows, but I hate to see the creative directorsand writers losing focus and straying a bit too far from its roots, and scramblingto make an already interesting show more interesting? Leave the song and dance to Glee. You are Fringe and I watch you guys bc there is no dancing and singing.I watch Glee for that, I don't wanna see mutant shapehifters on Glee.
Did anyone catch the people accidentally walking in and freaking out at 1:12. lol.
