Well, at least it's the best case scenario with what we've got to work with. Friday night's episode of Fringe, "Novation," was bumped in favor of Game 7 of the World Series, which had been left undecided until the Cardinals victory in Thursday's Game 6. Fringe had been slated for its big return episode, though, and FOX is doing damage control to make sure that the show's remaining audience don't miss it when it finally does come back.
There will likely be ads throughout the 9/8c timeslot tonight as well, but FOX has placed a video on the web indicating that "Novation" will instead air next Friday, November 4, 2011. This means that season 4 will start its winter hiatus on November 25 before returning sometime next year.
The ad, titled "Alarm," features a scene from "Novation" in which Olivia enters the lab to find Walter hooked up to a beeping machine that seems to be pumping him full of some mysterious blue chemicals. "What are you doing?" she asks, distraught.
"Sleeping," a groggy Walter replies.
Walter's sleep troubles likely have to do with the fact that a man claiming to be his son has just appeared. After all, with Walter's mentally frail state, it wouldn't take much to push him right over the edge. But how will he react if Peter is able to convince him that he is really his son?
"Novation" will air Friday, November 4, on FOX. Check out the "Alarm" promo below.
No shock, it rained the other night in St. Louis. I can hold out one more week.
I HAAAAAAAAATTTTTEEEEEEE BASEBALL!!!!!! Stupid delay I've been waiting forever for the next Fringe episode!!!
This is how FOX screws up great shows, don’t you guys have sports channels in the states so good shows can just run? a winter break? Film a few extra shows if you want a holiday! Jesus why so much chaos, just run the show weekly, one episode after another, until its done!!
