You may be able to tell that I love John Noble.
I first saw the man in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King where he played the manically insane Denethor, but I only really noticed him when he first showed up in the wonderfully weird world of Fringe back in 2008, in which he played the mad scientist doctor Walter Bishop. Walter was the comic relief of an otherwise gloomy show, and was definitely the best thing about the (still great) season one.
Fast forward two years, and we're still in the aftermath of Noble's acting tour-de-force from the second half of season two. He's had a little more subdued role in these first episodes of season three, but after the absolute brilliance of his acting with episodes like "Peter," and "White Tulip," that's completely understandable. John Noble is a powerhouse, though, and there's no denying that.
Now, we'll get to see him Tweet live.
FOX is hosting a Fringe "Tweet-Along" featuring Noble for Fringe's final Thursday episode, "Marionette." Noble will be tweeting about the episodes at both 9pm EST and PST, the two airtimes for the episode. This will be the first time Noble has tweeted since September 3, 2009, when during a similar event Noble made 207 tweets. That's a lot for the space of a few hours.
"This is the first Fringe Twitter-fest," Noble tweeted on that day, before adding, "It's been so much fun." We're looking at even more fun on December 9, 2010.
It's unclear whether or not more cast and crew members are slated to Tweet along with Noble, and that seems to have been left intentionally open ended. Check back to TVOvermind to see if more crew members join the Tweet-Along before Thursday.
You can follow Noble on Twitter. His account is @LabDad1. Thanks to him, it'll be hard to watch "Marionette" because I'll be too busy refreshing my Twitter homescreen. After all, according to FOX: "It's almost like communicating with the alternate universe. Only cooler."
