British 'Office' Actor Cast in Game of Thrones Season 2

Whenever Dagmer Cleftjaw comes onscreen in season 2, I'm likely to scream, "FINCH-Y!"

Fans of the British Office know what I'm talking about.

British actor Ralph Ineson has been cast in a recurring role on Game of Thrones season 2 as Dagmer Cleftjaw, an ironborn warrior who serves as master-at-arms for the Greyjoys at the Iron Islands. He captains his own ship, Foamdrinker, and is an all-around badass. He got the name Cleftjaw from a nasty scar he received as a child. He'll share plenty of scenes with Theon (Alfie Allen), Yara (Gemma Whelan), and Balon (Patrick Malahide).

Ineson is probably most famous for his turn as the disgustingly vile Chris Finch on The Office. He most recently appeared as the Death Eater Amycus Carrow in the three final Harry Potter films. He's appeared in plenty of British shows, including New Tricks, Waking the Dead, Merlin, The IT Crowd, and Coronation Street.

News of his casting leaked from Ineson himself, who tweeted a photo of himself in Belfast wearing the make-up of Dagmer's characteristic scar.

"Obviously as there's a social media ban on set photos that scar photo has nothing to do with [Game of Thrones]," he tweeted later. "Pure chance it was Belfast, honest!"

A few minutes later, he tweeted, "Looks like [the cat's out of the bag] fella! Better make sure I do a decent Ironborn job of it."

Game of Thrones will return to HBO in spring 2012.
