Game of Thrones Preview: Catelyn Tries to End the Feud Between Stannis and Renly

In this week's Game of Thrones, Theon traveled back to his father's house to propose an alliance with Robb Stark. But Theon wasn't welcomed back to the Greyjoy estate with open arms. In fact, he learned that his father has a great deal of scorn for Theon's adoptive family (the Starks) and has no plans to ally himself with Robb. Instead, he plans on retaking the land that used to belong to their family and has decided that Theon's sister will help him do so.

Beyond the Wall, Sam got the rangers in a spot of trouble when he wanted to help one of Crastor's daughters escape her terrible life. Meanwhile, on the road, Joffrey's guards were searching for Gendry, the only one of King Robbert's bastards who hasn't yet been killed. The group managed to scare the guards away, but their appearance prompted Arya to reveal her secret to Gendy - that she is a Stark.

In next week's episode of Game of Thrones, Tyrion tries to suss out his enemies in King's Landing in a clever manner, while Catelyn arrives at Renly's camp and tries to broker a peace between the Baratheon brothers. Renly and his new wife, Margaery Tyrell will finally appear this season.
