Game of Thrones Is Coming to the Big Screen… in Santa Fe

Is ‘Game of Thrones’ the first HBO series to make it to the big screen? While production of an ‘Entourage’ movie stalls, ‘Game of Thrones’ can seize the opportunity to become the first popular HBO series to make it to the movies. Well, not so fast. ‘GOT’ has no designs for the silver screen, but will be headed to the Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe in January.

Every episode of the HBO fantasy series will be aired on the big screen in Santa Fe, New Mexico starting January 6th to March 24th. Not only will fans get to see ‘GOT’ in the theater, but they’ll get to see it FREE. Every week a couple episodes will be shown at the theater along with door prizes, appearances by George R.R. Martin (he owns the theater), and special SKYPE sessions with cast members. Sounds like a perfect way to brush up on the show before season 4 starts this Spring.

If we were in New Mexico this would be pretty cool. ‘Game’ would be awesome to watch on the big screen. It’ll be awesome to see if there’s a turn out with super-fans of the show. If you’ve read the books you know that season 4 could be the best season yet. Looking forward to the start of the season in March 2014.
