If you're like me, you're already really excited for the second season of Game of Thrones, even though we're still about seven months away from the show's return. HBO realizes just how much we need more of Westeros, though, so they've decided to acknowledge it in the most teasing way possible: a seventeen second promotional trailer that reveals next to nothing of what's going on.
The biggest new introduction is what looks to be the show's new tagline. "You Win Or You Die" was perfect for season one, but now we're moving into heavier territory, for which "The Night Is Dark and Full of Terrors" is the perfect slogan.
The phrase itself comes from a prayer to the Lord of Light, the deity of a new religion introduced into season 2. As for who is saying the line, it seems likely to me that it's Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), the newly cast character who is a recent convert to the religion.
What do you think? Too short? Not enough information? Or is it the perfect teaser for such a dark show?
