How much do you like Game of Thrones? Do you like it enough that you plan on rushing to your TV, every Sunday night, to watch the new season coming up? Do you like it so much that you tweet about it and get to work just so you can talk about last night’s episode with your co workers and friends? Do you like it so much you sometimes wish you were in Westeros, dealing with all the sassiness and intrigue? Final question: do you like Game of Thrones enough that you would name your kids after characters in it? Well, apparently, the answer to the last one is a resounding yes.
Yup, it’s true. A bunch of recently born babies (as in being born in the wake of the show’s premiere) have been given names from Game of Thrones. Not even kidding, it is all right here at Happy Place. I guess parents have forgotten how a kid’s name can be the source of being picked on by others. As cool as Khaleesi may sound, in ex amount of years when the show is off the air, it will be like if someone names their kid Spock after Star Trek was huge. It may SEEM like a good idea, but it really, really isn’t. Don’t get me wrong, some of the names are really pretty (with Arya being the most popular), but still, name your kid Tyrion, he’s probably gonna have some trouble in his youth.
Now you name his “Faceless Assassin” that could be pretty cool. But outside of that, you are running a risk.
