It Turns Out that Peter Dinklage Does Not Watch Game of Thrones

Peter Dinklage

We have heard of instances where actors don’t watch some of the shows that they film.  In this particular case Peter Dinklage appears not to watch Game of Thrones.  Despite the show’s popularity, merely working on the show and being exposed to everything behind the scenes (and frankly before they happen) is enough for Dinklage.

According to the Huffington Post: Everyone has an opinion on “Game of Thrones'” infamous “Red Wedding.” We’ve discussed it here. You’ve discussed it out there. However don’t ask Peter Dinklage what he thought of the bloody scene, because he recently admitted that he doesn’t actually watch “Game of Thrones.” He doesn’t even have an HBO subscription!

“I probably shouldn’t be saying this, but it is a compliment of sorts,” Michael Lombardo told EW earlier this year. “The demand is there. And it certainly didn’t negatively impact the DVD sales. [Piracy is] something that comes along with having a wildly successful show on a subscription network.” Failing illegal means, we’re pretty sure that the star knows a few people who could hook him up with the DVDs …

Dinklage has also appeared in a number of movies such as Elf and we’re not 100% sure whether or not he was interested in watching these films either.   We’d have to check with him on that.  An actor of his ability shouldn’t have to check anyway.  We’re pretty sure most roles he takes on are going to have an impact on his fans regardless of whether or not he watches them.
