Earlier this week we posted a trailer for an upcoming storyline on General Hospital that should commence on March 17 (view it here). Little Jake will be hit by a car, which means that Elizabeth, Lucky, Jason and their respective families will have to deal with the fallout.
Jason's in a tough spot, of course. He gave up his parental rights and a place in Jake's life because of his job with Sonny and the mob a few years ago. Elizabeth and Lucky have been raising Jake as their son and the truth of Jake's paternity isn't known by everyone.
But it looks like the secret will be revealed. Below is a sneak peek from ABC that I believe is from the March 18 episode (I think Jake gets hit by the end at the very end of the March 17 episode). In the sneak peek, Jason and Michael head to the hospital, obviously called there by Elizabeth, who told her brother - Dr. Webber - about Jason being Jake's father. Jason's desperate for news about his son's condition, but there's not much to tell right now.
Will the driver of the car be another infamous Port Charles character or someone random? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Why would that deadbeat give a crap if Jake dies? It's only being done so he can spawn with the chick that wanted the kid dead in the first place.
This is the story that will end GH. They think firing Becky was loud, wait till they pull off this Frons mandated agenda crap. JaSam BOMBED, for 2 years it's brought in the lowest ratings in GH history. Yet Frons will not lick his wounds and fix things. So he fires who he thinks is causing it 'it' couple to fail, then kills children in hopes that will 'magically' make this failed couple work.
Mark my words, this is the story that will kill GH. They are done. The agenda is so transparant that there will never again be whispers of political agendas, it's out there in full force for all to see with this crap.
Excellent, excellent post….such agenda driven bs….the pairing from hell will bomb regardless of a demon spawn or not; regardless if Jake dies or not….they just suck out loud! Jason should have been with LIZ and HIS SON; it could of been a phenomenal story line….they must really think viewers are ignorant idiots not to see through this nonsense,….this probably will finish this sorry show; I know it will for me; and they richly deserve everything they get for treating long time,loyal viewers like trash. good luck…

What was the point of the bus accident back in December? We had two day players die and that's it. What happened to Morgan's broken leg? What happened to Motor Mouth Molly's PTSD? What happened to Cam's shock in being in the accident?
GH does nothing but put children in danger then drop the s/l without any fallout. Michael announced his rape last month and now he's sucking tongue with his hooker/prostitute/stripper girlfriend?
GH has become a dark, depressing & morose show that consistently features storylines that harm women & children. I hate that GH will forge ahead with another storyline killing off a young child. It's so unnecessary for Jake to die. This character has so much story left to tell. ABC/GH once dropped the ball once again by getting a of character that has links to 2 core/legacy families. I hope the ABC/Disney/GH is prepared for the negative impact that this storyline will have on their network & show.
I don't think it's been suggested that Jake will die. I think the storyline is more for the emotional impact to the parents than actually killing the child.
it's very much been implied Jake dies. And we could only hope it's going to be about the emotional impact on the parents AND his brothers. HOWEVER…it will be about revenge and more violence as it evolves into a whodunit.
Mark my words… this will VERY soon be all about Jason and Carly and maybe some Lucky. Not sure how it will become all about Sonny… but I am sure Guza has it figured out.
My heart breaks for Jason in that clip. Being told by the child's Mother that he would be better off without you in his life. That you were a danger to him and then this happens. So very sad.
And kudos to Steve Burton in that clip. Wonderful. Just wonderful.
Burton is AMAZING. Funny tho… it's not like Jason could argue about his life being harmful to kids… just has brain damaged, buttraped Michael.
nothing on GH bombed as bad as the summer of sleaze 3 very popular couples were decimated to get Jason and Liz on screen. Liz made Jason a dead beat, she beat into his head that he was a danger to Jake…but that was only cuz he was with Sam as soon as Sam had the good sense to leave the dumbass, the danger didn't matter she was ready to move Jake and Cam into the PH…the biggest danger to Jake has been his mother…..he got kidnapped, trapped in a fire and run over on her watch….
I agree totally. Guza is finally righting the wrongs during the Summer of Sleaze. Jason and Sam will eventually get their baby out of love, not a one night stand. IMO the ratings will go up not down. Thinking that because Jakes dies will bring the end to GH is delusional. The hitman with a mother with three kids never worked and the writers knew it. Sam understands Jason and Jason has forgiven Sam for all her mistakes. I am looking forward to their baby of love.

Keho is Fron's wet dream. She strips in Vegas, it turns Frons on, so he pimps her pairing that DIED years ago. Even Burton can't summon up enough enthusiasm to pimp it. He just shakes his head and goes to work and watches the ratings fall week after week after week.

if you don't like a character that's fine, why must you bring Kelly into it? and since you want to through rating into this they didn't start to drop steadily until the summer of slease when Guza tore apart every couple on the show.GQ, Rexis, Jasam and L&L2 couples don't impact rating as much as good story telling and there hasn't been any since Guza lost his co head writer. As far as firing BH to make Jasam fly, that doesn't make sense cuz she hasn't been in Jason's orbit since what 2008
I am NOT the same person who left the message stamped "March 16, 2011 at 5:41 pm", we just happen to share the same screen name *shakes head*. I'm disappointed that this s/l & discussion has sunk to personal attacks against the actors/actresses themselves. I love SBu and have watched him for YEARS. I enjoyed each of his pairings as a viewer cuz he was in it, but even Mr. Burton posed for Playgirl back in the day. I have no words; attacks against the actors is crass/classless/disrespectful; this is a soap. Argue story, don't attack the actors. You, Lisa, are as bad as people I saw posting who came off as happy when BH was fired. These are real people- they're doing a job. Direct your complaints to the people who dictate/write the story, make decisions about hiring/firing.
I think one of my fave pairings was Jason w/ Robin which is confusing because I LOVED Robin/Stone (chalk it up to good acting/writing) and when KMc came back I couldn't hlep but go . . . hmm, would they reunite? Seems the answer was no :( . . . worked out though cuz I love Scrubs/Emma, but I remember SBu at the time was quoted (and has since) saying how popular JaSam were/what a dynamic couple they were in all of soaps, not just ABC. And I've heard Steve say great things about Becky/Liason. 1 couple does not single-handedly make or break a soap. So to both fanbases the whole ratings thing seems pointless.
The whole Liason vs. JaSam bit is so tired! Free country, talk about it all you want . . . but all this discussion is EXACTLY what GH is going for.
Girls does everything have to be about the Sam character. She is a weak character that should have left the canvas years ago. They had to gut the Jason Morgan charcter to put that redo back together. The ratings have tanked since the redo and Mr Frons dictated the whole thing. Elizabeth and Jason had ratings throughout and their relationship. They started as friends. Elizabeth was not a left over of Sonny's. Please look in to the history of the Elizabeth and Jason relationship before you make ignorant comments about this couple.
For Guza to correct mistakes, he would have to make the last 2 1/2 years a nightmare that we can all wake up from.
I've watched this show for over 20 years……Jason and Liz were not this great love story, they had a friendship at one point that never really turned romantic…..I think the mistake they made was trying to pair Jason with Liz, I could care less about Sam and I will admit I've never liked Liz….Jason is my favorite and him trying to change who he is to fit with Liz is a no no for me. Liz has to be the most manipulative female on this show and that's saying alot when Carly is there
Oh, come on already. If Jason and Liz were such a wonderful couple and brought in ratings, they would still be a couple on GH. If they were so wonderful together, where are they? Apparently Disney didn't want them either. If you don't like Jason and Sam, don't watch GH. Frons, Guza and Phelps don't need you and your bitter friends. The show is doing just fine without you. Nothing on GH has screamed agenda and plot point like the conception and birth of Jake Spencer. That ENTIRE story, plus giving Sam problems so she couldn't have kids, was all to prop Jiz, as was Sam's mental breakdown in 2007. The writers are finally trying to make up for Jake the mistake. And I've been watching GH non stop since 1993. Jason and Liz were never in a relationship. Not even in 2007. They were friends with some romantic feelings for each other that they never really explored. Jason even said he never loved Liz when he first got with Courtney. Jason wanted Liz so he could be with Jake, then when he realized that he had to give up Jake for good, he saw no need to be with Liz because his feelings were never about her. They were about Jake. I can't wait till the writers make up for the past with this story.

Courtney was indeed most definitely a jump off. As in a casual sex partner, often involved or married to someone else, someone you don't think you will develop feelings for. But you're right about Sam, she wasn't a jump off nearly as much as she was a cast aside. She's done some of the grossest things on daytime. Like bedding Jax & Sonny in the same night, she needs a wash. She's the one who said she wouldn't take Jason back if he crawled on broken glass. She's the one that said Liz, Cam & Jake would never be safe with Jason. She blames Jason for her giving up everything in her life. She blames Jason for not being able to have a baby. She's weak and pointless. She owns up to nothing. She's a beer fetcher. She's a prop. Again, I can't help but wonder what her fans see in her. As for Jason not looking at Liz. It's difficult to look at someone that you don't share scenes with. As with nearly all Liason history, they must seperate Liz & Jason for extended periods of time as to force his & her other pairs to the forefront. Sorry but it's the facts. If you like I'll gladly tell you what else you should or shouldn't like about Sam too. Your need to comment on nearly every single post shows how vulnerable you feel. It's ok. whats so funny about this statement you easily throe Sam mistakes up and Look over Liz I guess it was okay for her to sleep with Lucky then Jason that wasn't gross or her to go from Lucky to Nic that wasn't gross either cuz it was Liz…..Like I've said a in the thread, Jason had no problem thinking he would be a good father until Liz and with him being my favorite I don't want him being with a woman that did that to him. This battle about which fanbase brought in the ratings is a joke!!! Liason fans act like Liason was the most legendary couple on the show. Oh they brought in ratings, they made the show, blah blah blah!! No they didn't. Liason wasn't even on that much but somehow they brought in all these ratings. All they would do is have sex and talk about Jake.WOW what a couple!! Hell I'm not even a Jasam fan but I would pick them over Liarson any day because Jasam is a REAL COUPLE!!! The ratings have been down hill ever since Liason slept together back in 06. Whether I like it or not I have to admit Jasam are a big GH couple and bring in ratings. Some of my best friends are Liason fans and even they say that Jasam brings in ratings. The rest of you guys are in denial so stop acting like Jasam ARE the reason that the show sucks right now and if liason came back the show would be getting millions of fans because it wouldn't!
Thank you for shooling some of these Jizzers about the ratings. Jiz was on a couple times a month just to have the same conversation again and again. They didn't even have sex that often. I think it was like, 3 times, including the one night stand. It wasn't a relationship. They met up in secret a few times over a few months, then Michael got shot and Jason told Liz to say away. From then on, it was Liz stalking Jason and begging him for sex and him telling her no. When, again, did this "relationship" happen? Oh,right… NEVER. Anyhow, this whole ratings argument is crap. JaSam haven't even had a story. How are they responsible for the ratings when they have been supporting players in other stories since they got back together? Whenever it's a JaSam centered time period, the ratings go up. The ratings were way up the week Sam was in the hospital, and all those shows were mostly about JaSam. The night before Jason went to prison and he and Sam were in the cabin was the highest rated day of the week. The week Jason got out of prison and it was all about JaSam for a week, the ratings went up. The ratings are down, in general, but that happened WAY before JaSam got back together.
OF COURSE!! not only is a beautiful kid with so much potential to carry on GH's history going to be sacrificed BUT they are going to limit the scenes with Jason and Elizabeth to few and far between!!! I am a huge Jasam, particularly Sam/Kemo fan. I've been watching this couple since the beginning. Stelly have amazing chemistry and I feel like I've cried so much because of this couple over the years. I'm not a fan of sad story lines but the show is a soap oprea and they do have a flare for the overly dramatic when creators think its needed. With that being said, I have to agree with everyone and say that this sl is bull sh*t. Why kill children? Why try to make it better with another child being sick and the only way to save them is axe another child. I cried my eyes out when Sam lost her baby. I was pissed when they took Baby Hope away from them (btw are we ever gonna know how Hope/Bridget are) and I have been waiting for my Jasam baby for 7 long years, now going on 8. I stopped watching when Jasam broke up, though Lusam were to hot not to youtube, lol, I couldn't stand the possibility of watching Jiz since it was just to gross. I've always liked Liz with Lucky. I think the years following her rape and the box car era were great and I loved it. I was soooooooooooo pissed that they gave Jason's son to her. Their bs family sl would have never worked, hense their break up or whatever happened. Now it just feels like GH is magically trying to fix everything. Cam's dad died along time ago so now, he's Lucky's adopted son. I'll give you that, but Liz finding out that Aiden is Lucky's son too at the exact moment that Jake dies? It's a little to perfect. So the town whore (not my nick name, it just comes along with having three kids with everyone but the man she was married too) now has a perfect family unit if GH spins it that way. And Jason? This will give him another excuse to break up with Sam. Look, I love this couple. But since their break up, it feels like all us Jasam fans are waiting for the other shoe to drop. You can tell on blogs, Youtube comments, fanfiction comments etc. We're all waiting for the moment the rug gets pulled out from underneath us so we can turn of the soap and not watch. (The breakup scenes are gone, but never forgetten.) I've never commented before on any site (I normally just read and agree with the loyal Jasam fans) but I couldn't help myself. I just hope if my favorite couple of all time should break up, #1 Sam breaks up with Jason and destroys him (a little payback would be nice) and #2 Sam has a baby. I'd prefer if Jason be the father, but I doubt it.
I feel sick reading the comments on this site about the death of a 4yr old who gives a damned if JaSam breakup of Liason get back together. They are killing a kid to move forward with a storyline that says if one kid dies hey lets have another to replace him.
I was a fan of GH for many years but this is some serious BS and anyone connected with it has serious issues and reading some of the crap you people are spewing makes me ashamed to be lumped in the category of fan with you. And yes I love Liason but Jake was not around in the beginning and having him didnt give Liason a chance. I was looking forward to future stories for Jason and Jake.

So Sam is okay with the serial killer then? Your logic doesn't follow. I do not (nor do you I'm sure) think of Jason as a serial killer. It's dumb to use that as your argument. It must be difficult to swallow that little detail. Her boyfriend once threatened to kill her. He's never once threatened Elizabeth.
Amazing acting by all 3 in that clip; I can't wait to see all the actors in this story knock it out. I'm surprised by all the "this will be the end of GH", "they've gone to far", etc. popping up everywhere- GH is known for doing edgy/emotional stories . . . I know it's why I watch. I love the little kid that plays Jake, he's ADORABLE; that said I also loved Stone & BJ . . . They were gut-wrenching stories and it was the end of amazing s/l's; but they were stories that helped MAKE GH and I don't think anyone who watched will forget. I loved Robin/Stone, hated to see them end, but the way it all played out was amazing. And BJ, no words. I understand viewers of certain fanbases are devastated by this story, but I question if their reaction would be so strong if it were a different child/character. Point is, I think it makes for a great story to showcase the depth of the actors. Heck, I was leery of the Michael prison/rape story, but the way CD/SBu/LW/MB translated onto film what the GH writers created was very compelling IMO. I know I need to grab my kleenex, but I'll be glued to GH. Liason/JaSam fans will never EVER agree on much of anything- to me this is a great full-circle ofa story that's been going a long time. The actors are not only very talented, but have so much to pull from.

The Lisa thing has been streched out way to long, the Elizabeth & the identity of the father of her child, Stretched out way too long! Let's get to the point move on and write some better stuff PLEASE!!! Otherwise I just keep hitting the fast forward button after I tape it.
