General Hospital fans know May sweeps are here once April is over, which means story lines pick up and the real drama occurs. We’ve been telling you for weeks how ugly it’s getting between Carly and Sonny, and we are about to see a change in that situation. With the sweeps almost here as May begins next week, we are going to see Sonny meet a new woman and Carly find herself upset about it. It won’t be all roses for Sonny, of course, but it will be great television. But what’s even more exciting is that he is going to learn some very insightful information about his son’s death. What he finds out about Morgan and how he died and the circumstances behind it is going to make him want to talk to Carly about it. We don’t know what they learn, but we do know it’s going to be something that brings them together.
Now, we want to know if their newfound friendship and teamwork in May is strictly a parental thing they’re doing to avenge the death of their sweet son, or if it’s something that might bring them back together. They are a couple we like, even if they have more downs than they do ups. They are good together, and they both have a mean streak that works really well for them. They’re both strong, and that makes them super good together. We just don’t know if it’s enough for them.
As the month goes on, we will find out if their teamwork brings them closer together, but we aren’t sure it will. Sonny has a new love interest starting next week, and we know he’s not about to let go of the fact that his wife was cavorting with her own ex for a few weeks before Sonny handled that one. They just aren’t in a good place right now. Good for them for working together, but we don’t think it’s something that will bring them back together in the near future. We will just have to wait and see how this one plays out.
