In this week's episode of Glee, the race for the congressional seat heated up. Sue took cheap shots at her competitor - Burt Hummel - and made up rumors that he had received a baboon heart as a transplant. Meanwhile, Will and Shelby decided to organize the first annual McKinley High mash-off. They challenged their two rival glee clubs to a friendly competition of mash-ups, but the students didn't think the challenge was all that friendly.
Puck continued to pursue Shelby, insisting that he was in love with her. Shelby continued to resist his advances, saying he just had a crush. Puck confessed to Shelby about Quinn's plan to call child protective services and get Beth back. Quinn tried to get closer to Shelby and asked to join the Troubletones, but Shelby later confronted her and told her to stay away from Beth.
Santana got extra bitchy throughout the episode, constantly taking cheap and mean shots at the rival glee club - Finn in particular. He eventually publicly suggested she just come out of the closet and confess her love for Brittany, since keeping it in made her nasty. Later, Sue, Burt and Will revealed that one of Sue's competitor's intended to expose Santana's homosexuality in a campaign commercial, which devastated her.
McKinley High also held the student presidential debate. Kurt decided to stand up to the bullies of the school and proposed to ban dodgeball, which he said legitimized violence against students. In a shocking move, Rachel decided to withdraw her candidacy and encouraged the students to vote for Kurt. In the end, Rachel and Kurt reunited as friends.

Glee is on hiatus for a week, but new episodes return on November 29. Episode 3.07 of Glee, entitled "I Kissed a Girl", brings the end of the McKinley High presidential election. But someone will be caught trying to fix the election (scandal!). Coach Beiste decides to challenge Sue Sylvester, while the situation between Puck and Quinn gets very complicated.
