Per Entertainment Weekly, Glee is heading out on their second U.S. tour this summer. The kids from McKinley High played 10 shows last summer to much commercial and critical success; with an expanded cast list and even more music to choose from, the tour should be even more jam packed this year and a treat for anyone who can make it out to a show. There hasn't been any information released/rumored about set lists, but the main cast should be there for every date. Yes, that means everybody: Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz, Mark Salling, Dianna Agron, Naya Rivera, Heather Morris, Harry Shum, Jr., Chord Overstreet and Darren Criss. Last year on the tour, Jane Lynch pre-recorded a message that was played at the beginning of every date, so she'll likely have a similar role in the 2011 tour.
The tour should be a tremendous success, as the show has grown in popularity in its second season both in ratings and music sales. Coming off a highly rated Super Bowl episode and with as much buzz for its offscreen antics as the ones on screen, it looks like the Glee train is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. I only worry about the performers themselves burning out from having too many responsibilities; of course, being young and in Hollywood, I'm sure they're taking advantage of all the leisure activities that they can, but between tours, shooting the show, rehearsing choreography, recording music, and trying to have a career away from the show, it seems like it could be a headache and a half.
