Glee is one of those love it or hate it shows. You don’t find too many people who are just MEH about Glee. So if you are one of the haters, feel free to scan any other article on this site right now, so as to not be bothered by this news. For those of you who stuck around, seems the season opener for Glee this year is going to feature two days of classic Beatles songs, as sung by the fake high school kids. Wow, The Beatles. REALLY?!
Well, I will admit, that is lofty.
To some, the whole idea of Glee is the safe cheesiness about it. Those people think the show should be all modern pop music. But with music, comes music history, and no band was a bigger part of music history than The Beatles. Every single act in modern music owes a debt of thanks to The Beatles for doing it first, and if this show brings the Beatles music to a new, younger generation who may have never had a chance to hear it, I say kudos and well played on Glee’s part.
If you head on over to Uproxx and check out the story, they also have a set list, so if you want to know it all, click here and find out. But for those who like mystery, tune in to Glee on September 26 to see the season opener yourself.
