i don't really like season 3 either that much. I think Chuck and Blair went downhill A LOT! I mean Chuck is a love-struck guy now...what happened to the Chuck we know and love!? I mean he can still be with Blair but dude he needs to at least have a little of his old self back. And then theres the Serena problem. I mean she just went back to her old ways really. And...ugh just to put into point Gossip Girl isn't as good as it was in the 1st season. :P

I agree that Blair is kind of a cartoon now - and has been since mid-season 2 - in every aspect but her relationship with Chuck. The problem is that her hierarchy antics and screechy voice are making hard for me to believe Chuck could still be in love with her, haha.

And, of course, Gossip Girl has had waaaay too many guest stars since the start of season 2. I don't understand why they refuse to change this. Seeing Lady Gage or The Plastiscines is one (enjoyable) thing, but having a bunch of characters come on for 5 episodes each only to leave everything at status quo when they go is rather annoying.

I actually think Gossip Girl has improved a great deal since last season, but I would like to see them delve into more core cast interactions. I might be crazy, but I feel really confident that this season has so far set up DV and NS relationships, so maybe they are gearing up to fix all these issues we have...

I just literally left a comment on your website. LOL! But I feel that GG is going through what The O.C. went through during Seasons Two and Three. I know they all meet up at functions, but you have to admit that the guest stars dominate those functions. But on the PTC article, I have had problems with the PTC since Buffy the Vampire Slayer was on the air. They have always been a thorn in my side, because our affiliate pulled a couple of episodes of a lot of teen dramas here in TN. The WB was my life in high school so imagine having the PTC screw up the only thing that gave me solace apart from reading and writing? LOL. but TDW, I love your stuff and please feel free to debate with me whenever on all things CW and other teen series. Your thoughts count and are highly valid in my eyes.

I agree with your criticisms for the most part but there's actually a lot of interaction and conflict among the show's core cast. Whether it's Vanessa getting involved in Dan's new relationship or V fighting with Blair, or Blair fighting with Serena or Nate and Serena at odds or Serena and Dan sticking by each other--I could go on but you get the point. Yes, there is an unnecessary amount of guest stars but in nearly all of the recent episodes (and in all episodes, period), there's been an event that (realistically or not) brought the gang together and even when they're not together, there's always at least 2 of them involved in one storyline. GG has a lot of weak points, several of which you mentioned, but this isn't one of them.
