This week's Gossip Girl has certainly put Blair in a huge dilemma, although even she doesn't realize it yet. Some realizations by Chuck led to a confession by Dan that he's in love with Blair. Plus, Louis and Blair's engagement is currently on the rocks. What factors should Blair consider when deciding which man to choose?
Chuck. It's clear that Chuck and Blair have always loved each other. Their relationship may be volatile at times (or even abusive), but the truth is that these two kids keep coming back to one another. When Blair found out that Louis was the father of her baby, the first person she told was Chuck, not Louis. And she confessed to Chuck that she actually wished the baby had been his. I don't want to excuse a lot of the bad behavior that Chuck has engaged in, but lately he seems far more stable and it's clear that he still loves Blair. Will this new, more mature Chuck be able to lure her away once again?
Dan. The Dan and Blair relationship has had supporters even before the possibility appeared on Gossip Girl. There's just something about this pairing that people like. While the two couldn't be more different, Dan is clearly a more grounding force for Blair than Chuck can be. And their friendship has always been fun to watch from the very beginning, because Blair can verbally spar with Dan in a way that she can't with Louis and Chuck. In the most recent episode, Chuck made Dan realize that he loves Blair, which is why he can't let go of her, no matter how hard he tries. But would Blair really choose "Lonely Boy" over a prince or a rich entrepreneur like Chuck?
Louis. The prince of Monaco has become the new bad boy of Gossip Girl. He spent a lot of time not bothering to stick up for Blair against his demanding mother and sister. But he did seem genuinely happy when he found out that Blair was pregnant with his child. The only problem is that the continued presence of both Chuck and Blair's friends have made Louis jealous, which has made him engage in some pretty questionable acts. First he paid off a shrink to try and push Chuck to the edge. Then in this week's episode he published the list of Gossip Girl's sources to try and alienate Blair from her friends. The problem is that Blair has found out about all of his bad actions soon enough and she's really questioning her ability to go through with the wedding. But Louis has the strongest tie to Blair right now in the form of their baby. Could she really walk away from him - and a royal life - and expect either Chuck or Dan to raise another man's child?
Blair is certainly facing a dilemma. I think the whole situation may come to a head during the 100th episode of Gossip Girl in January, which will feature Blair's wedding. But from what we've seen of these set photos of Blair in her dress, we're not entirely sure she'll be able to go through with it.

I honestly don't see how D could be an option when Blair clearly isn't in love with him. Chuck is the love of her life and he's growing up, while Louis is devolving at a rapid rate. I think Chuck would be more than willing to raise any child of Blair's, seeing as he knows more than anyone on this show that family does way beyond bloodlines.
That's actually a really good question, Morgan. I think the problem with the whole Dair scenario is whether or not Blair feels the same way about Dan that he feels about her. Is it something that she just doesn't realize yet? I have no idea, but it will certainly be interesting to see how it turns out. But I don't think we should discount Dan wanting to raise Louis' baby. After all, he loved Georgina's son when he thought the boy was his, and he also seemed willing to help raise him regardless. But yes, whether or not they have a shot will wholly depend on whether Blair can feel the same way.
Well I guess I’m the only Louis supporter. I loved Chuck and Blair while they were together off and on, but he brought out he darkest side of her and she deserves better. As for Dan, I never even considered him a real option for her.. he is too wrapped up in Serena and his book. Yes they have friend potential, but it should stay at that. Now for Louis, I think he is the one for Blair because they do bring out light in each other. Obviously Louis has a dark and jealous side, but so does Blair. Imagine the scenario reversed and Louis had a couple of ex’s competing for his attention while he was engaged.. you can bet Blair would bring out every weapon in her arsenal to make them back off. Louis is sweet and truly cares for Blair and wants the best for their new family… I hope she chooses Louis and never looks back.
Chuck Bass. I honestly can't see Blair leaving her "fairytale" for anyone else. I think no matter how hard she tries to fight it, her heart is always going to belong to Chuck, and it really isn't fair to anyone if she goes off and marries someone else, while living her life loving Chuck from a distance. They're like Lily & Rufus. In the end, they'll find their way back to one another :)
Dair is a nice friendship, but I don't believe Blair can ever love Dan as much as she loves Chuck. She doesn't even love Louis as much as she loves Chuck! Lol.
Definitely Dan. He truly loves Blair, and is probably the only good, stable guy on this show right now. No matter what, he pushes his own feelings aside to be there for Blair, which is something Chuck has never done. Sure Chuck and Blair have passion, but he will never make her happy. He does not deserve her, no matter how much "growing up" he has done over the past couple of episodes. I hate how people are ready to give Chuck all this credit just for not being an asshole for one ep, when Dan has been a constant sweetheart to Blair even when he had no reason to.
I wouldn’t say Dan is stable at all.. he left his book tour and drunkenly crashed Blair and Louis’ shower. He can’t even admit to himself aloud that he loves Blair, Chuck had to say it for him. Doesn’t seem to me like Dan can handle much right now between his book and personal/social issues.
I'm a Dan fan. I don't know what it is about their relationship that I just adore. They're so good and cute together! They get along so well and are funny and witty and interesting to watch! After three seasons of the same thing it was nice to see something new and different and unexpected. If Blair ends up with Chuck (which she most likely will) I guess I'll be alright with it. But I do believe that Dan is the better man, maybe not for Blair, but definitely in general.
Chuck Bass, he's her soul mate. Even freaking Penn Badgley knows it.
I think Chuck is no doubt the best fit for Blair. I mean look at all he's done for her this year because he wants her happiness, so matter the cost to him. I love Chuck's growth this season and was thrilled Blair finally got it that Louis is no saint and it's been Chuck who loves her and wants her to just be happy. Chuck and Blair are soul mates.
If the show continues on it's current path with Chuck I don't see any way Dan or Louis could possibly be competition for him:
1) Blair already loves him first and foremost. She may like Dan or even be kind of attracted to him but she doesn't love him. As for Louis? She told him the only reason she's not with Chuck is because he can't change. Well, it looks like Chuck is really changing.
2) He's becoming less selfish and more appreciative of what he had with Blair. He's growing in the ways he needs to to have a functional relationship.
3) Blair wouldn't be missing anything culturally or intellectually by picking Chuck over Dan or Louis. They've shown Chuck is no slouch in those areas. He may not be as passionate about arthouse films as Dan but it's not like Blair can't continue having those conversations with Dan AS HER FRIEND.
4) Chuck can banter with Blair too. It's just that their banter has more of a sexual edge to it.
5) Chuck is definitely the one that Blair has the strongest sexual connection with. No contest.
6) Chuck is becoming more responsible – almost paternal. He's always wanted family and now is showing he could be a good father which is what Blair needs since she's pregnant.
7) Say what you will about Chuck's tendency to sleep with lots of randoms, but he's been careful about who he says "I love you" to. He's only said it to one woman and that's Blair. Dan has said it to both Serena and Vanessa. And while Chuck did something incredibly awful to Blair when he was her boyfriend (the indecent proposal) he never cheated on her emotionally or physically. This is the one big negative against Dan as a boyfriend. He tends to emotionally cheat when his partner disappoints him (Serena in S1) or threatens his ego (Vanessa in S3).
Basically it all comes down to whether Chuck can grow up and become the man Blair needs him to be. Chuck's competition isn't Dan or Louis. It's Chuck.

Also don’t forget that Blair is carrying Louis’ baby. If she did skip off with Chuck, that will create even more drama between her and princess Sophie and Beatrice. Especially since we know it was Beatrice who sent Blair’s pregnancy blast in to gossip girl. Blair can’t only think of herself anymore.
