In this week's episode of Gossip Girl, all of the Rhodes women (including Carol and CeCe) convened in New York to attend a Studio 54 reunion party being held in CeCe's honor. Max continued to blackmail Charlie, who was forced to call Carol to come to town to convince CeCe to give her the money to pay off Max.
Nate started his new job as the editor in The Spectator, but his first big crisis hit close to home when one of his reporters got a tip that his cousin's wife was cheating on Congressman Trip van der Bilt.
Meanwhile, Blair told Dorota that she wasn't calling off her wedding to Louis, but she wanted to figure out how to change him back into the man she fell in love with. Thanks to some offhanded remarks from Dorota, Blair met with Chuck, trying to figure out what prompted his change and hoping Louis could do the same.
The midseason finale of Gossip Girl will be airing next week on December 5. Lily will be throwing a party in Charlie's honor to introduce her to New York society. But with Max still making trouble and throwing a wrench into Charlie's plans to remain a Rhodes, will her secret be exposed? Dan considers telling Blair about his feelings, but Blair's got a lot of problems and realizes she may have to come to a decision about the multiple men in her life. It looks like we may also get a cliffhanger with what could be a tragic accident in the episode.
