All the drama lately has been focused on the create Gossip Girl love-quadrangle of Blair-Louis-Chuck-Dan. But behind the scenes, there's another potential relationship blossoming once again: this one between Serena and Dan.
Serena and Dan pretended to be dating in order to protect Blair's secrets from being exposed before the wedding, but Serena really seemed to take the brief fake reunion to heart. At Blair's wedding during the Gossip Girl 100th episode, she told Dan that she still had feelings for him. She told him he didn't need to respond right away, but Dan later decided to help Blair run from her own wedding.
After Blair didn't appreciate all that Dan did to help her escape from her wedding and Louis, the two got into a fight and Dan stormed out, but not before Serena found out that he had helped Blair and lied to her about knowing where Blair was. Later, Serena confronted Dan in the hotel bar, upset that he had lied to her about helping Blair, but he didn't want to apologize for helping a friend. He asked if she was angry because she was jealous and he hadn't responded to her declaration at the wedding, but she told him his answer was clear.
Back in the hotel room, Chuck offered to save Blair from Louis' family claim on her, but she refused his help. Not because she didn't love him, but because she didn't want him to buy her freedom. Sorry, Dair fans, but it looks like Blair might actually choose Chuck when - and if - she's ever able to leave Louis and the Grimaldi family. But I think that Dan remains an important person in her life and she later made up with him in the hotel bar and asked him to continue to support her as her friend.
So here's the big question: if Serena is still interested in getting back together with Dan, and Dan can stop being hung up on Blair, should these two crazy kids rekindle their Gossip Girl romance? Choose your answer in our poll below.
I mean, I definitely think that Dan and Serena belong together but not right now. Because Dan takes the way Serena feels about him for granted somewhat, I think. Not to mention he’s been the one who got away/the only one who ever really broke her heart. I don’t think at this point that Dan really deserves Serena. He should pull some sort of Chuck like speech where he apologizes for things. Plus anyone with eyes knows Chuck and Blair are meant to be. So Dan can’t be with Blair. Just – no. Maybe if she and Chuck weren’t soulmates.
Dan definitely belongs with Blair. Chuck and Serena are the past, Dair is the future.

Dan belongs with no one. He's the worst character on the show. He ruins all the great relationships. First Nate and Serena and now Chuck and Blair. Brooklyn characters just suck in general. Rufus, Jenny, Vanessa and Dan. I wish they'd all GTFO and let the NJBC be happy like they should be.
