These Gossip Girl spoilers shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone (in fact, some fans might be happy).  TV Line is reporting that Taylor Momsen (Jenny Humphrey) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) will not be returning as regulars for next season of Gossip Girl (which was already given a renewal for season 5).

Momsen's Jenny has only made a few guest appearances this season, and hasn't been seen since the show returned for the second half of the season in 2011.  Szhor's Vanessa, meanwhile, has been given little to do this season.  Vanessa's spent many episodes moping about her now lost relationship with Dan, making a nuisance of herself and plotting a few schemes.  In a recent episode, Vanessa also said that she was leaving New York to go attend out of the city.

But apparently both actresses have been invited back as guest stars and will appear in a few episodes.

In other news, Kaylee DeFer, who plays Serena's cousin Charlie, has apparently been promoted to a series regular, and will return for next season with Blake Lively (Serena), Leighton Meester (Blair) Penn Badgley (Dan), Ed Westwick (Chuck) and Chace Crawford (Nate).
