Cee Lo, Lykke Li, Scars on 45 Among Those on the Grey's Anatomy Soundtrack

The first thing I think about when I hear the name Grey's Anatomy isn't McDreamy. It isn't McSteamy, hospital shootings, ever-changing love quadrangles, or even ghost sex. No, my first thought about Grey's Anatomy always goes straight to the music, as the ABC medical drama has utilized music beautifully in its nearly 150 episodes. Getting a song placement on Grey's Anatomy can be a huge thing for an artist's career and you can't say that about too many shows on TV.

Which is why the fourth soundtrack volume, scheduled to be released on September 13th (according to Billboard), could be a big move for its 14 featured artists, particularly those that are looking for their big break. For every Cee Lo or Lykke Li that have had mainstream success, there's a Scars on 45 getting their song used in a promo, indie favorites like Lissie or Graffiti6 that may not have had such wide exposure, or soundtrack veterans like Delta Spirit and Katie Herzig whose faces you may not know but whose words stick with you.
