Grey's Anatomy Musical Episode Sneak Peeks & Behind the Scenes Featurette

The Grey's Anatomy musical episode will be airing later this month on March 31. The producers have said that it's not intended to be a spectacle episode, but is supposed to make sense within the overall context of the show.

Grey's Anatomy has a slew of musically inclined actors and actresses among its cast, including Sara Ramirez, Kevin McKidd, Chandra Wilson and Chyler Leigh. The song list will include “Chasing Cars” (Snow Patrol), “How to Save a Life” (The Fray) and “The Story” (Brandi Carlile).

With regards to the synopsis of the episode, the whole thing basically takes place in Callie's imagination. On the verge of some huge life-changing decisions involving Arizona, Callie imagines the hospital and her friends as a musical. Kate Walsh, who plays Addison in the Grey's spin-off Private Practice, will also be returning to Seattle Grace as a guest star for the episode.

ABC will be releasing a sneak peek track on iTunes on Tuesday, March 20. On March 31 (the same day the episode airs), the "Grey's Anatomy: The Music Event" soundtrack will be released.
