Has it really been only a year since the medical staff of Seattle Grace were terrified for their lives thanks to a homicidal gunman? As hard as it is to believe, we only have four more episodes of Grey's Anatomy this season (tonight's repeat is the last non-new of the season, so take the breather while you can). But before the finale airs on May 19th, so much will be happening in the Shondaverse. Here's a list of only some of what you can look forward to seeing in the near future (or not seeing, in some cases) and as always, you can check out the sneak peeks and promos for two upcoming episodes here and here.
- After coming face to face with the hospital shooter in the traumatic finale last season, April had lighter fare to deal with in season seven. Namely, it was revealed that the surgical resident was a virgin and didn't seem to have any plans of losing her chastity anytime soon. While Entertainment Weekly's Sandra Gonzalez is reporting that something big will be happening with April during the season finale, it seems like the innocent Ohio native will be staying strong through the end of the season, as she'll remain a virgin for season seven. If April won't be turning in her "V-card", I wonder what's in store for her. Any guesses?
- Calzona will be tying the knot in the May 5th episode of the show, but as joyous an event as that may be, you know there'll be more to the episode than the chicken dance and drunk uncles. TVLine's Michael Ausiello postulates that Meredith and Derek will be undergoing something major during the episode (click to find out what it is), which is likely why they're not seen in the pews in the promo photos. Would you welcome a major MerDer revelation? What do you think will happen with the couple?
- Ausiello also reveals that one of Seattle Grace's finest will be officiating the Calzona ceremony and providing some much needed moral support after Callie's mother makes trouble over her disapproval of the marriage. You can click here if you want to see who will be officiating and the type of advice they'll be giving the nervous couple come May. If you ask me, that sounds like something that, even if you know it's happening, will make you cry just as hard as if you didn't know it to begin with.
- But if you think Calzona will be riding off into the sunset never to have a problem again, think again. I mean, this is a Shonda Rimes show. E!Online is reporting that the happy couple will be dealing with tension with Mark regarding the baby and just how much time he'll get. Do you think we've seen the last of the love triangle or will the tension mostly be about the baby? Coincidentally, E!Online reports that Cristina and Owen won't be all smooth sailing for the rest of the season, either. Do you think they'll stick it out past Cristina's continued tension with Teddy?
- E!Online has found out just who's taking who, as well. Teddy is going with James, Alex is going with April, and Lexie is going with Jackson. Is this who should be going to the wedding together? Who would you rather go together?
Considering there's been virtually NO Meredith and Derek as a couple this season then yeah, I'd love a MD revelation. The sad thing is, given what we've seen this season, I doubt it will be anything more than a minute or two at the beginning or end of whatever episode is playing. My thought is in order to adopt the baby we are now seeing Mer hold in the new promo, then MD will have to get married legally in order to officially adopt. I can only hope next season isn't followed with MerDer having the child ripped from their arms from the birth mother, but given Shonda's treatment of these two characters this season, I would not be shocked. And all of that drama will most likely start and end in less than a couple of episodes and a matter of minutes like all of MD's potential SL in the past two seasons. Sad but true.
i think april is gonna win the chief resident position, that seems like the only story line for her other than her virgin situation lol.
