Grimm: Lost Alum Mark Pellegrino to Guest Star

grimmTV Line is reporting that Grimm has added its third Lost alum in Mark Pellegrino, who is set to make a guest appearance in season two. Pellegrino, joining Titus Welliver and Daniel Roebuck as Lost cast members that made it off the island and into a world just as supernaturally charged, will be playing an old friend of Hank’s that’s also a coyote-like creature called a coyotl.

Considering how close Hank has come to finding out Nick’s secret and the existence of the Wesen world in the first season, it’ll be interesting to see if Pellegrino’s character (named Jared) will be a catalyst in exposing Hank to the creatures of the night. We left off with Hank becoming much more paranoid after his experiences with Monroe and the volga, so knowing that A) there’s actual creatures in existence and B) they’ve gotten closer to him than he ever thought could make that paranoia into something much scarier and much sadder.

Already announced as an addition to the Grimm cast for season two is James Frain, set to play Captain Renard’s brother Eric, a man that is said to be targeting Nick once he gets to town. Though Detective Nick Burkhardt has grown more comfortable with his other identity with each successive episode, that confidence and ability is scaring the royalty and (some of) the Wesen world, to the point where they’ll be stopping at nothing to bring him down. The second season of Grimm looks to be broadening the target already on Nick’s back, with threats coming from all angles and no one left to trust.

Grimm returns for its second season on Monday, August 13th at 10:00 on NBC. Following four straight new episodes on the new night, the show will be moving back to its Friday home on September 14th.

What other Lost alumni would you want to see on Grimm? Are you happy about the show getting such an early start next season? Where do you think Grimm goes following the cliffhanger-y first season finale?
