Olympian McKayla Maroney Will Guest Star on Hart of Dixie

Beng an Olympian comes with its share of perks, from million dollar endorsement deals to gold medals and international praise.

But you can also guest star on TV shows!

It may not be a perk they list in the brochure, but US Gymnastics famed silver-medalist McKayla Maroney will be showing up in Rachel Bilson’s Hart of Dixie. Details below via E!:

“Following in the footsteps of Ryan Lochte and teammate Gabby Douglas, gold-medal winning gymnast McKayla Maroney is guest starring in a season two episode of the medical drama Hart of Dixie, the network confirms.

Maroney will play Tonya, a friend of Rose’s (McKaley Miller), who comes to her defense, in an upcoming episode of Rachel Bilson’s charming series.

Can McKayal act? Judging by the fact that they made her character name almost identical to her real name so she wouldn’t get confused, I’m not sure. But she did have a good sense of humor about her “McKayla is not impressed” meme, and she knows how to dougie (see below).

Who cares? It’s Rachel Bilson and McKayla Maroney together onscreen at the same time. It’s like a wish you get from a genie. Just roll with it.
