Looks like we’ll have some more time to explore the strange town of town of Haven. Syfy has announced it will pick up the second season of the sci-fi mystery.

The show, based on The Colorado Kid from renowned author Stephen King, follows FBI agent Audrey Parker (played by Emily Rose) who moves to the sleepy town of Haven, Maine. She soon discovers the town is a refuge for people with supernatural abilities and holds the keys for unlocking the mysteries of her own past. Lucas Bryant co-stars as local cop Nathan Wuornos and Eric Balfour as the mysterious and charming Duke Crocker.

The show has locked down some respectable numbers since premiering this summer. It scored a 1.9 Household rating and 2.6 million total viewers, thanks, in part, to it’s Eureka lead in.

The show wraps up it’s first season this Friday, October 8th at 10pm. Excited about the finale? Will you be making the trip back to Haven next summer?

I need to know how Stephen King’s life affected his writing of The Shining. Specifically how is he similar to Jack Torrence, the other characters, and the scenarios or details of the book. Specific details would help. Thanks!
