Heroes Redemption Poster

More Heroes goodies are hitting the streets, this time UGO has snared the promotional poster for season 4.  The poster features Hiro, Sylar, and Claire.  Whether this grouping indicates anything in particularly about the upcoming 'redemption' arc or not remains to be seen.  Last season it seemed that Hiro may be flirting with a stroke as a result of over-indulging his powers, while Sylar has been imprinted with the memory of the now deceased (?) Nathan Petrelli. Rumors are that Claire will be flirting with a sexual realignment, or as I like to call it 'Lesbianism for guys.'

No matter how you slice it, Heroes has a daunting task ahead. Last season saw the viewing audience shrink to around 6 million-ish.  Needless to say, Heroes has to re-grow its audience to remain viable for renewal.  UGO has a good round-up of known spoilers for season 4, head on over and see what the Heroes gang has in mind to turn this bus around.

It's a throwback to the S3 DVD cover focusing on Sylar (symbol of evil) Claire (symbol of popularity) and Hiro (symbol of diversity), and I'm a bit dissapointed.

Looks like Kring just wants to focus on the Sylar/Claire angle, and Claire's bosom, which I found squeamish and unpleasant in the finale. The dwindling cast of minorities on "Heroes" isn't being saved by showing Hiro on the poster because he was portrayed as rather incompetent throughout S3. (Why'd they send him to India in the first place?) What happened to the ensemble cast promoted in season one and why has the show moved from an organic script to focusing all about the Bennetts and Petrellis?

Don't get me wrong, I've thought season one of "Heroes" was brilliant but the quality of writing seems to just go downhill while promoting Claire and her family more and more. I admire the actors for their hard work but hope this series ends soon so they can move onto other projects.
