Major death plotted for Heroes

05ccb136403a441d67cd77eaee2852f5 I don't know why I like Heroes. Maybe it's because amidst all the moments of stupidity, there are glimpses of genius shining through. And, after reading this spoiler from E!Online's Kristin, , I'm getting even more renewed faith in this once-brilliant show. So what's the spoiler?

Someone's gonna die. And if it's who I think it is, then Heroes will have won me truly over once again. Not because I hate the character; I love him. But because it will mean that Heroes truly intends to change and move forward, and stop with the silly comic-bookish elements. I'd probably be extrapolating a little too much from this singular event, but it would definitely be the biggest change to happen to the show since Zachary Quinto popped up a few episodes into the first season.

While Kristin was tight-lipped about the identity of the soon-to-be cadaver, she confirmed that the death would be4 a male member of the original cast, and that it would be "huge." "This is not one that will go unnoticed by even the most casual fan," Kristin assured.

So who does that leave? Well, honestly, when I think of Heroes, I think of three people. The first person is Claire, but due to her invincibility, it certainly seems unlikely that she'll get the axe. The second I think of is Sylar, because, well, he's the most interesting character on the show. Period. But thirdly is the character who I think has been the face of Heroes from day one — Masi Oka's Hiro Nakamura.

Hiro has been such an endearing and innocent character on the show that his death will certainly tug on plenty of heartstrings, even to those fans who only tune in every few weeks. And it's been set up in such a way for the past group of episodes that if the writers weaseled their way out of it, it would probably prompt me to sever ties with Heroes forever.

So who will be the one to die? I certainly hope it's Hiro, even though I love him. It'd certainly be one of the greatest moments of the show, if done right, and would indicate that Heroes is at least trying, if not succeeding, in getting better.

I wouldnt call Sylar the most interesting character, considering they rehash the EXACT same story over, and over, and OVER- every season. "Who am I?" is all Sylar runs around asking every year. It gets old.

Just as old as Hiro constantly babbling about his code and honor and all that, although i did like his interaction with Emma. Im excited about him seeing Charlie again too.

Im finally liking Peter, and i havent since season 1. So i hope they dont kill him off. They already ruined the effect of Nathans death, but im still waiting for Peter and Claire to find that out.

Ill be upset if Matt dies, because im also enjoying him this season.

So, Peter or Matt dying, id be most upset, but thats not to say i dislike Sylar or Hiro so much i want them gone. But really, as good actor as Quinto is, i been scratching my head for awhile now as to why he is still on this show instead of full time on movies.

I think your whole article is kind of retarded though, you give a half assed compliment saying it would be a step in the right direction to kill off Hiro, then say you would quit watching the show if they do? Whats gives?

Ando Masahashi is the guy. Hiro's death arc begins the season as Ando heads down the road to matrimonial happiness with Hiro's sister. Heroes being a ploddingly written show, cannot be so ploddingly repetitive as to just let Hiro go out with another sacrificial Hiroic. So Ando will die, in spite of Hiro, and Hiro will go to the darkside. The End Part VII.

My money is on Parkman. With Sylar on the loose, amid a creepy/menacing 'family' and Matt the key to re-gaining his memories, I feel a confrontation coming.
Though it would be a bold stroke to off Hiro, I see them doing just the sort of weaseling with his fate that you fear.

I'm with Sara on this. Mohinder hasn't been on the whole season, so my guess is that the actor is with Psych perminantly and they're just going to axe him. I doubt they would axe Hiro simply because in the first season, they showed him 5 years into the future coming back to the past to warn Peter. If his ability kills him sooner than that, then they've had flawed writing from the start.

Those "silly comic-bookish elements" that you talk about are what made this show. I believe that this drama is unique in keeping/staying within that genre. I hope it's not Hiro but he was a major part of the main cast/season one (and I don’t see them axing Peter anytime soon). It will be a surprise till the end and for some strange reason my money is on Mohinder for that final fall.
