Heroes just isn't getting any better, but this is one change that could really go either way for the series. Though he's been a mainstay cast member since season one, actor Sendhil Ramamurthy, who plays scientist Mohinder Suresh, is leaving the cast. Ramamurthy's voice-overs have been an integral part of the show during its four-season run, and have appeared in most of series' episodes.
This of course raises the question: is Heroes dead? The show hasn't been looking good for a while since its dismal season four, which only averaged at about 5.22 million viewers. There's been speculation that the series would be renewed for a fifth and final season, but there's also been speculation that season four will be the last.
Ramamurthy's departure can't spell good things for the series. If they're letting such an important character go, you know that the series can't be much of a priority for NBC.
So what is Ramamurthy going to be doing now that he's gotten out of Heroes? That's a good question, though the actor is currently frustrated that his London acting friends aren't getting any good jobs. "There's actually nothing for them to audition for," he said. "It's such a shame when talented people are not allowed to do what they want to do because of money."
What do you think? Has Ramamurthy's departure left Heroes high and dry? Or do you think the starving sci-fi series can continue on without Mohinder Suresh?
Erh… Have you even watched Season 4? Mohinder's role has been incredibly small, he had like 20 minutes of screentime in the entire season, and it was more than obvious that the writers have had no idea what to do with him since mid-S3. That's probably why he left. Many people already believed he had left last season, because of him never actually appearing on the show. Sendhil's departure probably won't make much of a difference – especially because he has mentioned that Heroes has the option to bring him back as a guest star."So what is Ramamurthy going to be doing now that he's gotten out of Heroes? That's a good question,"And one that can be easily answered. He has signed up as a series regular for USA's new series "Covert Affairs". He starts filming this month and will be back on TV in July.
Ummmm……Sam, this is old news. Sendhil was hardly in season 4 of Heroes. Sendhil asked to leave Heroes to do another show for the same studio. Its called Covert Affairs and it will be on the USA network which is owned by NBC. He is under contract to both shows- as a series regular on Covert Affairs and for a guest arc should Heroes get an (unlikely) 5th series. Shouldn't you know this seeing as how you are a tv critic and all? Just sayin'………

Heroes hasn't been good since season 2. Its best they just let it stay cancelled. The worst part was how annoying they made every character. By mid season 3 i just wanted to strangle Claire, Mohinder and Peter
Heroes is most disappointing show on television and possibly of all time. They're were so many awesome directions for them to take after season 1, and they took none of them. In retrospect I dont even think all that highly of season 1. I liked it mostly cause it had promise, and it had some great twist along the way, but I never really dug the characters or the use of time travel. Ironically it were those to elements, poor character development and terrible use of time travel that killed the show. I kept watching though, why I don't really kno., I kind of felt like John Locke hoping Anthony Cooper would change for me, instead he pushed me out a window. I was liking season 4 at first, it seemed to be taking things in a good direction, and the new villain was intriguing, but they completely blew it. I liked amnesic Sylar, they should have just kept him that way, and basically reboot the character, instead they continued the bs flip flopping. Parkman's storyline was a mess, Peter's was mediocre, and Clair's, while solid, treaded a lot of old ground with her and Noah's issues. All of Samuel's intrigue as a mysterious new villan, was sucked out from him slowly, he was not the Magneto like figue I wanted him to be. The finale sucked, but I was happy with the ending, but I moaned "this is what should have happened in Season 2"
I think there was too much Sylar and not enough Peter and Mohindar. I watch shows to escape not watch a constant Sylar nightmare. I also think it would be more interesting if Peter could keep three or four powers at once. I loved Hiro and Ando's sci-fi language, but I had to wonder what ever happened to sword carrying future Hiro? Why has Peter forgotten all about Kaitlyn? They should have had Sylar turn good for Elle, then he would be a total Byronic hero, and he would have been more easily forgivable, his turn to bad then good, then bad to good, over and over again, was too much. If they needed a villian they should have inserted the Samual then when Sylar turned with Elle. If they do a season 5 they need more real romance, a relationship we would want to experience, and should bring a bunch of the characters back in time and make them famous people. Claire could be Amelia Earheart, not a lesbian, I think that stuff felt forced, Peter and Sylar could fight off the Vikings, etc.
