The rest of the article is nice. However I am really, really, really, really tired of every lesbian subplot being called some ploy for men. That subplot has been handled nicely and, excluding the hyping of a kiss, in a sensitive way. Let's cut that nonsense out. Thanks.

Sure, it was an ok episode, but what was the point? The flashbacks were worthless. The whole scenario with Noah and Lauren was contrived, and the whole episode served what purpose? To place Hiro in the cluthches of our villains, no less! And give him some fake purpose to go save his "true love" (with no regards to his past love, Yaeko of ancient Japan).

Bah.
I still watch the show, but not because it entertains me. It does make me laugh, however, at its expense.

Brilliant article, man. I agree with what you're saying about Nathan, they really should tie up that loose end ASAP. Still not sure what my feelings are about Claire's apparent lesbianism. Sure, it's probably for guys (although it's been relatively underplayed so far), but I actually think that it gives Claire a bit more complexity. She's a girl with a weird ability who's trying to live a normal life, so trying to have a romantic relationship with someone seems like a good step. Plus, she's already had a couple of relatonships with boys and they didn't work out, so giving it a go with a girl actually makes quite a bit of sense.
