Want to own a piece of TV history? Well, if you have the cash, you can buy the favorite eatery of Frank Underwood. That’s right, Freddy’s BBQ Joint is for sale, but ribs aren’t included.
The owner is selling the property for $119,000, though the market appraisal says that it’s only worth less than a fifth of that, $21,000. I suppose he’s hoping some rabid House of Cards fan will pick it up and open an actual BBQ joint there. Previously, the spot was used to sell fried chicken.
Honestly, it might not be a terrible business venture. Even as ramshackle as it is, the spot is certainly recognizable to the millions of fans who watched the show. And I doubt there are any actual copyright restrictions surrounding naming your place “Freddy’s” as it’s a fairly common name. And how hard can it be to find a cook that can make good BBQ?
Alright, I’m in. Who wants to be an angel investor with me?
