House of Lies Season 2: Adam Brody to Guest Star
It looks like there's about to be another Brody on Showtime.
The network has announced that Adam Brody will be guest starring on the second season of House of Lies as a love interest for Jeannie. He'll be appearing in two episodes of the Emmy nominated dark comedy as an owner of an adult toy company who forms a relationship with the management consultant.
However, Jeannie's not in the right space to handle any type of serious connection with a man, so the brief guest arc makes sense for her character. She broke up with the man she was engaged to after deliberately trying to hide his existence from the pod, while she had flings with one of the Galweather executives and Marty himself, the latter of which occurring in the season finale. It remains to be seen how she'll run into Brody's character (on a job or on her off-time), but their abbreviated time together might be what Jeannie needs to get her mind off the possible implosion of the pod.
In addition to his role as Seth Cohen on The O.C., Brody has appeared on the likes of The Loop, Grounded for Life, and Gilmore Girls. Last year, he voiced a character on MTV animated comedy Good Vibes, which was cancelled after one season.
House of Lies will feature guest appearances from Lisa Edelstein as a sexy political consultant Marty meets on the job, Bess Armstrong as a Meg Whitman-type executive, Nia Long as a former classmate (and current rival) of Marty's, and Larenz Tate as Marty's activist brother.
The second season of House of Lies premieres Sunday, January 13th at 10:00 on Showtime.
Do you think Jeannie will ever be ready for another serious relationship after losing her fiancee? What type of fallout will there be over her hook-up with Marty? Are there any other actors that you'd like to see appear on this season of House of Lies?
