House of Lies Teasers: The House Always Wins

house of liesThe hook up between Jeannie and Marty last season on House of Lies could make things awkward for the pod. The two had had a fair amount of tension between them during the season and it's not surprising they finally acted on it, especially after the aborted merger left them with their jobs in tact, but what about the next day? The next week? Month? Have they damaged their working relationship for good over a fit of passion and relief?

In the latest teaser for the next season of House of Lies, we get to see the atmosphere at Galweather post-encounter and things don't seem too bad. You have Clyde and Doug betting on whether or not Marty and Jeannie did in fact hook up, but other than that, Jeannie appears to be carrying more tension than Marty does and even she gets to dance around in one of the teasers. What looks to be the first time they come face-to-face after the haze of the other night ends in Marty acting like he always did around her, while they gather later in an alleyway to do the running man, possibly to exorcise the last of the awkwardness and prove that they can be around each other in a friendly capacity without things getting weird.

And really, as much time as the quartet spend together, they'll be dealing with one PR crisis after another, so there might not be time for things to get too strange, not when there's this much money involved.

Guest stars next season on House of Lies will include Adam Brody, Bess Armstrong (featured in one of the teasers), Lisa Edelstein, Nia Long, and Larenz Tate.

The second season of House of Lies premieres Sunday, January 13th at 10:00 on Showtime. You can check out additional teasers for the season here.

How will Clyde and Doug react to finding out that Marty and Jeannie hooked up? Will the encounter effect the way in which the pod does business? What type of clients are you expecting to see next season on House of Lies?
