It is all pathetic – fron the exploitation of the situation in the beginning of the show to the pathetic behavior of both parents. Lucky for them the requirements for getting a drivers license are more stringent than for parenting. They would have both failed. The marriage was a sham and now that the sun is shining on all of their dark secrets – (as in any divorce) we can see the true faces of every one involved. The network is a vulture, Jon is an imbecile, Kate is a mannequin unitl the cameras are rolling, and the poor kids are unwitting victims. What happens to them when this train goes off the tracks – can they be normal kids – no I doubt it seriously. They will be a sad tragic tale 10-15 years from now.

It is unfortunate that Jon cannot see that his behavior is directly going to impact and seriously hurt his children. Everything negative that he does and says directly interferes with their well being and if he truly was a mature, caring, loving, concerned father he would be more concerned about protecting his children than his ego and public image. He has demonstrated very self destructive behavior from the get go, yet Kate has stayed relatively neutral and shielded the kids as best she can from all the fray. In the courts eyes he is not a fit parent and I believe that she will have a very good financial future in the public arena because she has been able to show strenght, maturity, diplomacy and lack of engagement throughout this horrible situation. I think TLC or some other channel will offer her some kind of contract that she will be able to accept and carry on providing for her kids minus the dead beat dad, Jon.

Jon's not done, yet. This is typical behavior from someone who has control issues. As for the courts, he has already demonstrated his utter disregard for promises and contracts – in what universe would anyone expect him to comply with the authority of the courts? This is only the beginning. Somebody better find out quick what he did with that $200,000. This could go badly.

Jon is clearly mentally challenged and seems to be suffering from mental illness. The only damage that has been done to the children came from Jon's behaviour/words since the divorce filing. I hope the courts puts the brakes to Jon before he completely destroys his family.
