Kourtney and Kim Take New York Season 2 Episode 1: “The Honeymoon is Over”

kim kardashianSeason 2 of Kourtney and Kim Take New York kicked off with a most appropo title 'The Honeymoon is Over,'as well as with some footage of the frenzied media coverage of Kim's divorce announcement. What signs did we see of impending doom? Well, not many but this is only the debut episode. The closest we can come to marital strife, and this goes for both couples, is their challenges in learning to live together because of different lifestyles and personal habits. In fact, the episode ends with both men walking out on their Kardashian women, but we know this is only temporary.

Kim and Kris head to New York after their whirlwind wedding and honeymoon. They move in with Kourtney, Scott and baby Mason. Interesting that this season Mason appears on camera, whereas he was completed omitted in Season 1 of Kourtney and Kim Take New York. Even more interesting is that Kourtney takes one bedroom for her and Mason, while Scott is relegated to a separate bedroom. Even Kris comments on how strange they are.

Right away conflicts sets in with the living arrangement at the penthouse. Neat freak Kim is having a hard time learning to share her space with someone else's clutter and kicks Kris'stuff all over the place. He retaliates in kind. Mason gets the room next to Kim and Kris's bedroom as his playroom and wakes Kris up early in the morning. Perhaps it wasn't the greatest idea for a a newly married couple to live with another couple and a baby.

Scott is feeling like he can do nothing right since Kourtney is always on him about something, including fake cigarettes to help him kick the real thing. Kourtney's holistic and organic lifestyle quickly gets on everyone's nerves. Nobody wants the food she buys, not even Mason. Next, Kourtney takes Kim to a spa for some holistic healing and relaxation before their big Welcome to NY party that evening. Several oils rubs later, the spa woman wants to give them an oil enema. Kim declines. Kourtney loves them and we are forced to watch as she does it to herself. Later, Kourtney discusses with Kris, who asks her to leave because he can't have this weirdness in his bedroom, especially after she leaks oil on his bed.

Kim KardashianAt their Welcome to NY event, Kris isn't feeling it and it's easy to see how uncomfortable he is with the whole scene. His focus is actually on his morning training sessions, which he needs to keep himself in shape during the NBA lockout. Meanwhile, Kourtney is keeping an eye on Scott, who is trying to loosen up and enjoy the party. It proves too much for Kourtney and she leaves him at the party. The next day Scott says he's going back home. Scott visits Kim's good friend Jonathan Cheban to vent. Jonathan agrees Kourtney needs to loosen her leash a bit.

Kourtney's obsession with holistic living spins out of control, this time with naked yoga. She invites a bunch of female friends over for the session. The catch is, the yoga teacher is a hunky male, and yes, he's nude. The women can hardly focus from all the giggling. Kris walks in on the scene and is overcome with embarrassed, disgusted laughter. He makes some rude jokes about the situation which prompts a fight between him and Kim. They have a heated argument in front of everyone. She calls him out for being rude but he says he can't come home and find a naked man in his house and not be pissed. With Scott gone, Kris knows he can't handle it and tells Kourtney the next day that he can't live with two girls and a baby.

Kris has a heart to heart with Kim. He tells her he can't train while he's in New York with all the craziness. He wants to return to Minnesota to train properly. Kourtney realizes her lifestyle may be infringing on Kris. She moves Mason'playroom and apologizes for the interference. Too late, because Kris is packing. Kim decides to support him and kisses him goodbye.

On next week's episode of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, the guys return for more conflict and mayhem. Catch it Sunday, December 4 at 10 p.m. on E!
