The L.A. Complex Won't Return to Canadian Television; Future on The CW is Unknown

The L.A. ComplexBad news for fans of the soapy drama The L.A. Complex, which originally aired on MuchMusic in Canada before being imported to the U.S. for CW viewers: the show has been cancelled in Canada.

Bell Media, which owns MuchMusic, has decided not to order a third season of The L.A. Complex (starring Cassie Steele and Jewel Staite).  Originally, a first season consisting of only six episodes was ordered and the show did well enough to garner a season 2 run of thirteen episodes.  Unfortunately, the second season's ratings in Canada were lower than the first season, which prompted the cancellation.

The series also fared poorly in U.S. ratings.  How poorly?  The premiere on The CW had the lowest-ever ratings for a broadcast drama series premiere, which is a pity because the show has fun characters and engaging storylines.  The CW has yet to make a decision concerning The L.A. Complex on their channel and could decide to order a third season from the Canadian production company, but the low ratings will, of course, be taken into consideration.  Hopefully we'll learn the final fate of the series soon enough.

This really sucks! Canada have far worse shows and they continue to be renewed.

I found this petition on another post. Maybe it’ll help?
