Whether or not you see the Law and Order franchise as a vanity stop for the stars who want to prove they have range, or as a great show that gives us the sadness and believability we see in the criminal justice system every day, the fact remains, they definitely seem obsessed with stunt-casting.  Michael Ausiello at EW broke the news today that Sharon Stone will soon be joining the cast for a four-episode arc that will begin in April.  This isn't Stone's first step into television, though, as she has been a recurring star on Showtime's Huff and was also on three episodes of The Practice back in 2004, for which she also won an Emmy.

Dick Wolf had this to say about Stone joining the cast, "“It is obviously a thrill and a delight to have a star of Sharon’s wattage and importance joining SVU."

Stone will play a prosecuter who was a former police officer and who may also go head to head with Benson and Stabler.

So with past stars such as Wentworth Miller, Hillary Duff, Ludacris, Robin Williams, and Rosie Perez, just to name a very very small few, has SVU finally topped itself, or is this just another star in a long list of stars?  Let us know below!
