If you recall, our intrepid girl on the street, Jo "Jopinionated" Garfein, visited the LOST set and the LOST Season 6 premiere event "Sunset on the Beach". While hanging with the LOST luminaries, Jo had the chance to talk to Josh Holloway about the direction of Sawyer in LOST Season 6. While she was only able to speak with Josh briefly, she did manage to get him to convey the general mood of the set.
Jo: How are you feeling as you film the last few episodes of Lost?
Josh: It's like high school! It's like being a senior - getting near the last days of school, feeling like doing stuff that you shouldn't do, getting trouble on set; senioritis.
Using the phrase 'senioritis' may be a stroke of genius on Holloway's behalf. So far, the character stories of season 6 definitely reflect the sense of 'last chances to say goodbye' that are echoing throughout the fandom. The high school analogy definitely works as we all prepare to say good-bye to our favorite losties.
Sawyer himself, so far, has been a lot like that senior year student who has most of his credits in and only shows up for study hall. So far. Sawyer's absence from LOST has been felt pretty vividly by restless fans, all of whom will finally get their fix tonight with the episode "Recon", which is Sawyer centric. This article seems a little late? Wasn't Jo's video posted last month? Anyway, Josh Holloway certainly did not coin the term 'senioritis.' That's been around for a while.

Here I am thinking that free will actually exists on this site! Excuse me for posting my thoughts. I'm just confused why what I thought was previously reported news was posted again. And I'm letting DocArzt know that the word senioritis has been around… I think that's a favor for a journalist / blogger. I definitely agree with the analogy.
heh… settle down people. Nobody put an eye out or anything. I changed it for the anal retentive, but I'd defend the usage since I'm pretty sure no-one has used the phrase to describe the last season of LOST. But if we want to take our heads out of blog world entirely, 'coined' was abused because the object wasn't a phrase – but a word. ;)
You know, some fans *coughmyselfcough* actually didn't miss Sawyer. Just saying . . .
